Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground mixed pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- cayenne optional, to taste
Directions
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine all of the ingredients and whisk vigorously.
- Once the contents begin to simmer, reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Allow the mixture to simmer until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve at once, or refrigerate in a sealed container, such as a Mason jar, for up to one week.
