Ingredients
- kosher salt to taste
- 1 pound fettuccine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup parmesan freshly grated, plus more for sprinkling
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
Directions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water then drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the cream and butter.
- Cook until the butter is melted and the cream is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Whisk in the parmesan and season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss until coated in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add the reserved pasta water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
- Garnish with the parsley and serve immediately.
