Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken boneless and skinless
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- neutral-flavored oil to taste
Directions
- Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Using a mixing bowl, combine together the salt, the onion powder, the garlic powder, the ground black pepper, the paprika, and the allspice.
- Add in the chicken pieces and stir to fully coat the chicken pieces.
- Coat the chicken in cornstarch, making sure the cornstarch is evenly distributed.
- Pour the egg white into a small bowl, then add the breadcrumbs to a separate bowl.
- Coat the chicken pieces in the egg white and then in the breadcrumbs. Set them aside.
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Once the oil reaches about 350-375 degrees F, carefully place the dredged chicken pieces into the oil in batches. Do not add too many pieces at once as this will overcrowd the pan.
- Deep-fry the chicken pieces until they are golden-brown.
