Ingredients
For the pork:
- 1 (3-4-pound) pork roast boneless
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1/3 cup liquid smoke
- 1 cup water
For the sandwiches:
- 10 hamburger buns or rolls split horizontally
- 2 cups coleslaw store-bought or homemade
- 1 cup barbecue sauce store-bought or homemade
Directions
- Season the pork roast all over with the salt and the liquid smoke.
- Transfer the pork roast to a slow cooker.
- Add the water to the slow cooker over top and around the pork roast.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low until the pork is cooked through, tender, and shreds easily, about 8-10 hours.
- Transfer the pork to a cutting board and use two forks to shred the pork.
- Add the shredded pork to the cooking liquid in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Evenly add the shredded pork to the hamburger buns.
- Top with the coleslaw and the barbecue sauce and serve.
