Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts boneless and skinless
- 16 ounces Italian dressing store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 cup parmesan grated
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 (16-ounce) box penne pasta
Directions
- In a slow cooker, layer the chicken breasts, the Italian dressing, the parmesan, and the cream cheese, in that order.
- Cover and cook until the chicken breasts reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
- Just before the chicken is ready, in a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook the pasta to al dente, according to the package directions.
- Drain the pasta.
- Using two forks, shred the chicken, taking care not to shred it too finely.
- Add the pasta to the chicken mixture in the slow cooker and stir gently to combine.
- Serve the pasta warm.
