Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter softened, divided
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley minced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 (3/4-1-pound) flat iron or top sirloin steak boneless
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of the butter, the parsley, the garlic, and the soy sauce and stir to combine. Set the herb-butter aside.
- Season the steak with the salt and the black pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the remaining butter.
- Add the steak to the melted butter and cook, flipping it once, until it reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees F for medium-rare, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Transfer the steak to a plate, cover it with foil, and let it rest until it reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F for medium-rare doneness, about 5 minutes.
- Slice the steak against the grain.
- Top the warm steak slices with the herb-butter.
- Serve.
