Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1 cup green peppers chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (12-ounce) package wide egg noodles cooked
- 2 (10.75-ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- green onions optional, to taste, sliced, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Coat a 3-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the beef and cook, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
- Drain the excess fat from the skillet.
- Transfer the beef from the skillet to a plate.
- In the same skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the onions and the green peppers and cook, while stirring, until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the cooked beef, the Worcestershire sauce, the cooked noodles, the tomato soup, and the cream of mushroom soup to the onion mixture and stir to combine.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
- Bake, uncovered, until heated through, about 15-20 minutes.
- Serve garnished with the green onions.
