Ingredients
- peanut oil to taste
- 1 cup beer of your choice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt plus more, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper plus more, to taste
- 1 pound green beans ends trimmed
Directions
- Preheat the oil to 375 degrees F.
- In a bowl, whisk together the beer, the flour, 2 teaspoons of the salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of the pepper until smooth.
- Dip each of the green beans into the batter, allowing the excess to drip off.
- Fry the battered green beans in the oil in batches.
- Cook until golden and crispy, about 4-6 minutes.
- Remove the green beans from the oil and sprinkle with the extra salt and the extra pepper.
