Ingredients
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup store-bought or homemade
- 8 mint leaves plus more, to taste, for garnish
- crushed ice to taste
- 2 ounces bourbon
- Angostura bitters optional, to taste
Directions
- Add the simple syrup and 8 of the mint leaves to a glass, muddling the leaves gently until they are fragrant.
- Fill the glass with the crushed ice.
- Add the bourbon.
- Top the cocktail with 1-2 dashes of the bitters and stir gently.
- Garnish with the extra mint leaves and serve.
