Ingredients
- 1 package dry cornbread mix
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup celery chopped
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 eggs beaten
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons dried sage
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Directions
- Prepare the dry cornbread mix, following the package instructions. Then cool and crumble the cornbread. Set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Once the butter has melted, sauté the onion and celery until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the onions, celery, eggs, sage, chicken stock, and 3 cups of the crumbled cornbread, mixing well.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Set the mixture into the prepared baking dish, baking at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
- Serve warm!
