Ingredients
- ice cubes to taste
- 3 ounces reposado tequila
- 3 ounces lime juice freshly squeezed
- 2 ounces orange liqueur
- 1/2 ounce agave nectar optional
- sea salt to taste
- 1 slice mandarin orange plus more, to taste, for garnish
- lime slices optional, to taste, for garnish
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker about halfway with the ice cubes.
- Add the tequila, the lime juice, the orange liqueur, and the agave to the cocktail shaker.
- On a plate, sprinkle the sea salt
- Rub the rims of two margarita glasses with 1 of the orange slices.
- Dip the rims gently into the sea salt, twisting them lightly to coat.
- Fill the prepared glasses with the ice cubes.
- Cover and shake the cocktail shaker vigorously to create a margarita mixture.
- Add the margarita mixture evenly to the prepared glasses.
- Serve garnished with the extra orange slices and the lime slices.
