Ingredients
- 4 chicken strips skinless and boneless
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can chicken gravy
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup sage and onion stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup onion minced
- 2 teaspoons garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
- black pepper to taste
- 1 (32-ounce) package frozen bite-sized potato nuggets
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- fresh parsley optional, to taste, roughly chopped, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with olive oil cooking spray.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Spray the skillet lightly with olive oil cooking spray.
- Add the chicken strips and cook until they are no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, reaching 165 degrees F internally about 4 minutes per side.
- Cut the chicken into cubes.
- Transfer the cubed chicken to a large bowl.
- Add the gravy, the cream of chicken soup, the evaporated milk, the stuffing mix, the onion, the garlic, the celery seed, and the black pepper and mix until combined.
- Spread the frozen potato nuggets in the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Pour the chicken mixture evenly on top of the nuggets.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and the cheddar cheese on top of the chicken mixture.
- Bake until golden and bubbly, about 45 minutes.
- Garnish with the fresh parsley and serve.
