Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Place the confectioners' sugar in a shallow bowl.
  • In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese and the butter and beat with an electric hand mixer until creamy.
  • Stir the egg and the vanilla into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Add the cake mix to the cream cheese mixture and stir until well-blended.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls; there should be 24 in total.
  • Roll the dough balls in the confectioners' sugar to coat.
  • Place the dough balls 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake the cookies until they are set, about 10-13 minutes.
  • Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool.
