Ingredients

1-1 1/4 pounds (about 1-inch-thick) pork chops boneless and trimmed
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons low-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Directions

Season the pork chops evenly with the salt and the black pepper.
In a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, add the pork chops in a single layer and cook until browned on one side, about 4 minutes.
Flip the pork chops and cook until lightly browned on the reverse side, about 1 minute.
Reduce the heat to medium and allow the pork chops to cook, uncovered, until they reach an internal temperature of 140 degrees F, about 2-3 minutes.
Transfer the pork chops to a plate and immediately tent them with foil.
Allow the pork chops to rest until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 5 minutes.
In the same pan used to cook the pork, over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the garlic to the melted butter and cook, while stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the chicken broth, the brown sugar, the honey, the paprika, and the cayenne pepper to the garlic mixture and whisk to combine.
Cook the sauce until it is reduced by half, about 3-5 minutes.
Add the pork chops to the sauce and cook until warmed through, while spooning the sauce over the chops.
Serve.
