Ingredients
- 1 large egg lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the egg, the milk, the Worcestershire sauce, the oats, the onion, the salt, the sage, and the pepper.
- Crumble the beef over the egg mixture and mix well to combine.
- Press the beef mixture into an ungreased 8x4-inch loaf pan.
- Bake the meatloaf, uncovered, for 1 hour.
- Drain the excess grease from the meatloaf.
- Spread the ketchup over the meatloaf and bake until the meat is no longer pink and a thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 160 degrees F, about 10 minutes.
- Allow the meatloaf to stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve.
