Ingredients
- 3 1/2 quarts water
- 3 cinnamon sticks plus more, to taste, for garnish
- 15 green cardamom pods split open, seeded
- 15 slices fresh ginger peeled
- 25 whole cloves plus more, to taste, for garnish
- 3 whole black peppercorns
- 8 black tea bags
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
Directions
- In a slow cooker, add the water, 3 of the cinnamon sticks, the cardamom pods, the ginger, 25 of the cloves, and the peppercorns and stir briefly to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on high until the flavors have fully melded together, about 8 hours.
- Add the tea bags to the slow cooker and let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container.
- Add the condensed milk to the tea mixture and stir to combine.
- Serve hot garnished with the extra cinnamon sticks and the extra cloves.
