Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 small green pepper chopped
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 (11-ounce) can whole kernel corn drained
- 2 (10.5-ounce) cans tomato soup
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Directions
- In a Dutch oven over medium heat, add the beef, the onions, and the green peppers and cook, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain the fat from the Dutch oven.
- Add the water, the corn, the tomato soup, the sugar, the Worcestershire sauce, the hot pepper sauce, the salt, and the black pepper to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Bring the beef mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Cover the Dutch oven and let the beef mixture simmer until the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded togther, about 1 hour.
- Serve.
