Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds beef top round steak cut into strips
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1 large green pepper sliced
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (4-ounce) jar sliced mushrooms drained
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- egg noodles optional, to taste, cooked and hot, for serving
Directions
- In a 3-4-quart slow cooker, add the beef strips , the flour, the salt, and the black pepper and toss to coat.
- Add the onions, the green peppers, the diced tomatoes and their juices, the sliced mushrooms, the soy sauce, and the molasses to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low until the meat is tender, about 6-8 hours.
- Serve over the egg noodles.
