Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 3 1/2 pounds cabbage chopped
- 1 (29-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1 cup white rice uncooked
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 (14-ounce) cans beef broth
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, while crumbling into small pieces, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease.
- Combine the cabbage, the tomato sauce, the chopped onion, the uncooked rice, and the salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Stir the cooked ground beef into the cabbage mixture.
- Pour the casserole mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the beef broth over the casserole mixture.
- Bake the casserole, covered, for 1 hour.
- Carefully stir the casserole, re-cover, and bake until the cabbage is tender and the rice is done, about 20-30 additional minutes.
- Serve.
