Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts boneless and skinless
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (0.87-ounce) package chicken gravy mix
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- fresh parsley optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish
- mashed potatoes optional, to taste, cooked and hot, for serving
Directions
- In a slow cooker, add the chicken breasts, the chicken broth, the cream of chicken soup, the gravy mix, and the black pepper and stir to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low until the chicken breasts reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F and are fall-apart tender, about 8 hours.
- Transfer the chicken breasts to a cutting board and shred them using two forks.
- Add the shredded chicken to the cooking liquids in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Garnish the chicken mixture with the parsley.
- Serve the chicken mixture over the mashed potatoes.
