Ingredients
- coarse salt to taste
- 1 lime wedge plus more, to taste, for garnish
- ice to taste
- 2 ounces lime juice
- 2 ounces jam flavor of your choice
- 1 1/2 ounces tequila
- 1 ounce orange liqueur
- 1 ounce lime seltzer
- jalapeño to taste, sliced
Directions
- Pour the coarse salt onto a shallow dish.
- Rub 1 of the lime wedges over the rim of the serving glass, then gently dip the glass in the coarse salt.
- In a cocktail shaker, add the ice, the lime juice, the jam, the tequila, and the orange liqueur, then cover and shake until it is frothy, about 20 seconds.
- Add more of the ice to the prepared serving glass, then strain the margarita into the glass.
- Top the margarita with the lime seltzer.
- Serve the margarita garnished with the extra lime wedges and the jalapeño slices.
