Ingredients
- 4 turkey wings wing tips cut off and discarded
- kosher salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil plus more to taste
- 1 cup onion coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup celery diced
- 1/2 cup carrots diced
- 2 (10.5-ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/4 cups water
Directions
- Separate the turkey wings at the joints between the wing and the drumette.
- Sprinkle the wings generously with the salt and the pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the oil.
- Add the turkey wing pieces, in batches if needed, and brown on all sides. Replenish the oil in the skillet as needed.
- Add the onion, the celery, and the carrots to the bottom of a large slow cooker.
- Top the veggies with the browned turkey.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the cream of chicken soup with the water until combined.
- Pour the soup mixture over the wings.
- Cook, covered, in the slow cooker on low until an instant thermometer inserted in the center of the turkey reads 165 degrees F, about 4-6 hours.
- Transfer the cooked turkey to a serving platter and top with the sauce.
- Serve.
