Ingredients
- nonstick spray
- 4 ounces margarine
- 1/2 cup celery chopped
- 1/3 cup onions chopped
- 12 cups dry bread cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
Directions
- Spraying a 9x13-inch casserole dish with nonstick spray.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Melt the margarine in a skillet over medium heat on the stove-top.
- Add the onions and celery and saute until the onion is translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix together the dry bread cubes, the cooked onions and celery, and the black pepper and sage.
- Slowly add the chicken broth to the bread and stir until mixed and the bread is thoroughly moist.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
- Bake until thoroughly heated and lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm with the meat of your choice!
