Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chipotle hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger minced
- 1 teaspoon agave syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 (8-ounce) package coleslaw mix
- 1/2 red bell pepper diced
- 2 green onions chopped, or more, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions
- In a small bowl, combine the chipotle hot sauce, the rice vinegar, the soy sauce, the ginger, and the agave syrup together to make the sauce.
- Heat the olive oil and the sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground turkey to the wok and cook, stirring to break up any clumps, until the juices run clear, about 6 minutes.
- Season the turkey with the salt and the pepper.
- Transfer the turkey to a large bowl and reserve the remaining turkey juices in the wok.
- Combine the coleslaw mix, the red bell pepper, the green onions, and the garlic in the wok with the reserved turkey juices and cook over medium heat, stirring regularly, until the slaw is slightly wilted, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the sauce to the coleslaw mixture and mix to combine.
- Return the turkey to the wok and cook, stirring regularly, until it is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the turkey to the coleslaw mixture and toss to combine.
- Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the skillet slaw.
- Serve.
