Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) package herb-seasoned stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3 1/2-4 cups turkey cooked and chopped
- 3/4 cup onion chopped
- 1/2 cup celery chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup mild or medium cheddar cheese shredded
Directions
- Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix, the butter, and the chicken broth.
- Place 1/2 of the stuffing mixture in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Set the remaining stuffing mixture aside.
- In another bowl, mix the turkey, the onion, the celery, the mayonnaise, and the salt together.
- Evenly spread the turkey mixture over the stuffing mixture in the baking dish.
- Top the turkey mixture with the remaining stuffing mixture.
- In a small bowl, beat the eggs and the milk together.
- Pour the egg mixture over the stuffing mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle the top of the casserole with the cheese and bake until it has melted, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve.
