Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 (15-ounce) can of Italian-style tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1 (10-ounce) package of refrigerated biscuits
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the beef while crumbling until no longer pink, stirring frequently, about 7-10 minutes.
- Drain the excess grease from the skillet.
- Stir the tomato sauce into the cooked ground beef and heat through, for about 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer the meat sauce mixture to a 2-quart rectangular baking dish.
- Sprinkle the meat sauce mixture with the cheese.
- Flatten each of the biscuits with your hands.
- Arrange the flattened biscuits on top of the cheese.
- Bake until the biscuits are golden, about 15 minutes.
- Serve.
