Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 (4-ounce) chicken breasts boneless and skinless
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
Directions
- In a small bowl, add the salt, the onion powder, the paprika, the Italian seasoning, the garlic powder, and the pepper and stir to combine.
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Evenly rub the chicken breasts all over with the oil, then with the seasoning mixture.
- Evenly pour the chicken broth over the seasoned chicken breasts.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook the chicken breasts until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 2-4 hours on high heat or about 8 hours on low heat.
- Use two forks to shred the cooked chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Serve.
