Ingredients

  • peanut oil to taste
  • 1 cup beer of your choice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt plus more, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper plus more, to taste
  • 1 pound green beans ends trimmed

Directions

  • Preheat the oil to 375 degrees F.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the beer, the flour, 2 teaspoons of the salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of the pepper until smooth.
  • Dip each of the green beans into the batter, allowing the excess to drip off.
  • Fry the battered green beans in the oil in batches.
  • Cook until golden and crispy, about 4-6 minutes.
