Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 6 pork chops boneless
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • parsley optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil.
  • Add the pork chops to the heated vegetable oil and sear them on each side until golden-brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • In a large bowl, add the condensed cream of mushroom soup and the milk and stir to combine.
  • Into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, arrange the potatoes and the onions in an even layer.
  • Add the browned pork chops in a single layer on top of the potato-onion layer.
  • Evenly add the soup mixture over the top of the pork chop layer.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Evenly sprinkle the cheddar cheese over top of the pork chops.
  • Bake until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with the parsley and serve.
