Ingredients
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 pound Swiss cheese shredded
- 1/2 pound Gruyere cheese shredded
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 pound French bread cut into 1-inch cubes
- preferred meats optional, to taste, for dipping
Directions
- Simmer the wine in the pot that you will be using for the fondue.
- Add in the Swiss cheese and Gruyere cheese, adding 1/4 pound at a time and stirring after each addition of the cheese until it is completely melted.
- Stir in the flour.
- When the cheese is melted and the flour is incorporated, add in the salt and nutmeg.
- Serve the fondue with the French bread and preferred meats.
