Ingredients
- 1 1/2-2 pounds ground beef
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of cheddar cheese soup
- 3 cups frozen cubed potatoes
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded, divided
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- chives optional, to taste, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease from the skillet.
- Add the beef to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup, the cream of cheddar soup, the potatoes, 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese, the salt, and the pepper to the bowl and mix until combined.
- Pour the ground beef mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
- Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake until the cheese is golden-brown, about 30 minutes.
- Garnish with the chives and serve hot.
