Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup yellow onions diced
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 3/4 cup bacon crumbles divided
- 3 cups mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend shredded
- 1 (12-ounce) can refrigerated biscuits
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, add the ground beef.
- Cook, crumbling the ground beef, until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain the grease from the pan.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Add the onions to the pan, stirring well and cooking for 2 minutes.
- Add the soup, the ketchup, and the mustard to the beef mixture, stirring until all of the ingredients are fully combined.
- Add the salt, the pepper, the garlic powder, and the onion powder to the pan, stirring well.
- Add 1/2 cup of the bacon crumbles to the pan, stirring well.
- Pour the ground beef mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the cheese on top of the ground beef.
- Sprinkle the remaining bacon crumbles on top of the cheese.
- Open the biscuit can and cut each biscuit into 6 pieces.
- Sprinkle the biscuit pieces on top of the casserole, spacing them out as evenly as possible.
- Bake until the biscuit pieces are nicely browned on top, about 18-20 minutes.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes.
- Serve.
