Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup yellow onions diced
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 3/4 cup bacon crumbles divided
  • 3 cups mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend shredded
  • 1 (12-ounce) can refrigerated biscuits

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, add the ground beef.
  • Cook, crumbling the ground beef, until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Drain the grease from the pan.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low.
  • Add the onions to the pan, stirring well and cooking for 2 minutes.
  • Add the soup, the ketchup, and the mustard to the beef mixture, stirring until all of the ingredients are fully combined.
  • Add the salt, the pepper, the garlic powder, and the onion powder to the pan, stirring well.
  • Add 1/2 cup of the bacon crumbles to the pan, stirring well.
  • Pour the ground beef mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the cheese on top of the ground beef.
  • Sprinkle the remaining bacon crumbles on top of the cheese.
  • Open the biscuit can and cut each biscuit into 6 pieces.
  • Sprinkle the biscuit pieces on top of the casserole, spacing them out as evenly as possible.
  • Bake until the biscuit pieces are nicely browned on top, about 18-20 minutes.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes.
  • Serve.
