Topped with the crispy golden crunch of potato chips, this savory sensation is filled with juicy chicken and hearty eggs in a creamy, poultry-flavored sauce. It's perfect for serving up as a meal atop lettuce or even as a dip! Southern Treasure Bake is one treasure you shouldn't let stay buried!
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked, chopped or shredded
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 2 eggs, hard-boiled and chopped
- 3/4 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/3 cup cracker crumbs, optional
- 1 cup potato chips, crushed
- lettuce, optional, to taste, for serving
- crackers, optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Mix the chicken, the mayonnaise, the cream of chicken soup, the eggs, the celery, the onion, and the cracker crumbs in a medium bowl.
Step 3 -Spread the chicken mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish.
Step 4 -Top the chicken mixture with the crushed potato chips.
Step 5 -Bake until heated through, about 20 minutes.
Step 6 -Serve hot or cold over a bed of the lettuce and with the crackers.
