Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 (15-ounce) can pizza sauce
- 1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms drained
- 1/4 cup ripe olives sliced and pitted
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1 (10-ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef to the skillet and cook, while crumbling, until it is browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease from the skillet.
- Add the pizza sauce, the mushrooms, and the olives to the beef and cook, while stirring, until heated through, about 2 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a rectangular 2-quart baking dish, then sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese.
- Arrange the biscuits on top of the cheese.
- Bake the casserole until the biscuits are golden, about 15-17 minutes. Switch the oven to broil to allow the biscuits to finish baking if they don't brown enough during the allotted baking time.
- Serve.
