The always-adored chicken is surrounded by faithfully fresh green beans and tenderly coddled mushrooms, and these new friends are just swimming in a compassionately creamy sauce that unites their newfound relationship in perfect harmony. Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 (8-ounce) container mushrooms, sliced
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (12-ounce) bag green beans
- 1 pound chicken breasts, cooked, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds, divided
- 1/4 cup parmesan, grated
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 4 -Add the mushrooms to the butter and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5 -In a large bowl, add the cream cheese, the sour cream, the onion powder, the garlic powder, the black pepper, and the salt and beat with an electric hand mixer until combined.
Step 6 -Add the green beans, the cooked chicken, the cooked mushrooms, and 1/4 cup of the almonds to the cream cheese mixture and stir to combine.
Step 7 -Pour the green bean mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Step 8 -Evenly sprinkle the casserole with the remaining sliced almonds and the parmesan cheese.
Step 9 -Bake the casserole until it is cooked through and bubbling, about 30 minutes.
Step 10 -Serve.
